It was great meeting the Honorable Kim Masland, MLA for Queens-Shelburne today.

She had many incredible things to say about The Point and what it will mean for Queens County and the Province of Nova Scotia.

As a Member of the Legislative Assemble for Queens, I deeply understand how severe and acute the housing crisis is in Queens and across our province.

I am consistently hearing from folks for their need of housing-affordable rental units and forever homes. Every sector in our community is suffering labour shortages. It remains difficult to recruit as people cannot find housing. I recognize that we all need to work together to resolve this issue-housing is a human right and everyone deserves a place to call home. That means all levels of government, not for profit groups, and developers coming together to do what we can.

The Point on the Mersey would be an assets here in our community.
